Also nearby is the beautiful beach of Almyrida that has many good taverns, along the coast. The small town of Kalyves, which is about 15 minutes' drive, has banks, pharmacies, schools, a long sandy beach as well as all sorts of shops and amenities. The city and airport of Chania are about 40 and 45 minutes' drive, respectively.
