The residents are very hospitable and the area is quiet. The beach at Tavronitis is the closest; here there are many restaurants, cafés and a promenade for cycling and walking. There are plenty of beautiful beaches around the area, such as Paleochora, Elafonisi, Falassarna, Sougia and many others for you to discover. The surrounding area has canyons, archaeological sites and churches. The distance to an intersection of the highway is a short 5 minutes drive. The distance to Chania is 20 minutes, to the Port of Souda 25 minutes and to the airport 40 minutes drive.
