MONASTIC ARCHITECTURE & IMPOSING SURROUNDINGS
The property consists of a large stone villa of 190 m² and a smaller home of 95 m². The two residences were built on a plot of 6, 277 m², in front of which a plot of about 3, 900 m² was purchased, in order to ensure unobstructed views. Although they are built on the same plot, the two houses are about 50 m apart and there is no visual contact with each other. Outside each home a part of the external areas has been landscaped, where it was necessary while in the rest of the area there are more than 200 large productive olive trees. Both houses are ground floor and completely independent. In the smaller one there are two bedrooms and two bathrooms while in the large two bedrooms and a bathroom.
The larger of the two buildings is constructed entirely of stone and one of its parts is situated in the place of an older home. Its plot is fenced by a stone wall and a gate on the front side while around it the access is limited by areas with steep slope. There is a large parking space on the front, while on the back and north-east side of the residence there are spacious courtyards, covered verandas, barbecue area, a beautiful flower garden and a private pool of about 40 m². The rooftop terrace is accessible by an external staircase, is tiled and has wonderful views. The garden has an automatic watering system and night-lighting, in the outdoor areas.
A few stairs lead to a small veranda, where there is the main entrance of the home. Inside, we find a large open-plan area that is divided by massive stone arches. From the entrance we go to a large hall that is currently configured and used as a dining room. From here there is direct access to the garden, the kitchen and the living room. The impressively large and bright living room is at a lower level and has an office as well as one of the total three fireplaces of the house. Another fireplace is in the traditional-style kitchen, which has several rustic elements and all necessary electrical appliances. Next to the kitchen is a hall with access to the two bedrooms and a large round bathroom with shower. The main bedroom has cherry wood furniture, its own fireplace and two exits to verandas on the west and the east side of the building.
The fireplaces are fully functional, however each one has a wood stove in order to be more user-friendly. The sale price includes most of the furniture and the equipment. The ceiling lamps are antique and almost all the furnishings are wooden and handmade. The property also has solar panel and traditional-style wooden frames with shutters and double glazing. The doors and windows are new while the bathroom has been recently renovated.
The smaller of the two residences is also fenced with a low wall and a gate. It is ideal as a guest house or you can live here and rent the villa for tourist purposes. In any case it is a completely independent house with a beautiful garden and views. Before the main entrance there is an elevated veranda with a pergola, on which lead a few steps. Inside, there is an open-plan living and kitchen area. The bedrooms, which are spacious and have tall wooden ceilings and fitted wardrobes, are on the back and southeast side of the building. The property has a bathroom with shower and in one of the bedrooms there is an en-suite bathroom with a bathtub. There are air conditioners in all main rooms and aluminum windows with tilt system, screens and double glazing. In the living room there is also a chimney in case you want to install a fireplace or a stove.
The location is extremely quiet and is surrounded by many olive groves. The nearest village, which is 1 km away, has few houses and a cafe. Within about 10 minutes' drive is Voukolies, a small town where you can find the essentials, cafes, restaurants, a bank and some other shops. Chania and Kissamos are about 30 minutes' drive while the airport of Chania is about 40 minutes away.
The property is excellent for business use. They are also two undoubtedly nice residences that can become luxurious houses for holiday and escape from the fast-paced everyday life.
