The living room is also accessed from the dining hall and has a traditional Cretan fireplace with inset fire, two large windows and double doors that open out onto to a raised a terrace that overlooks the main courtyard. There are two large bedrooms. Bedroom 1 is a dual aspect room with views of the garden and has a mezzanine, dressing area, an en-suite shower room and A/C unit. Bedroom 2 has access to the rear terrace with views of the garden and is situated next to the family bathroom with access to the rear terrace.

There is a useful Storage area with the central heating controls and washing machine next to the bathroom. Beneath the house is a 25 m2 Basement/Store Room with power and light. The white goods are included in the price.

The area around Fres is designated an area of outstanding beauty and the White Mountains dominate the views from the property. Although the house is at the fringe of the village, and its location guarantees complete serenity and seclusion it is only five minutes walk to the unique village square, where there is a bakery, taverna and a range of small shops. There are walks from the house through olive and citrus groves and into the mountains.

Fres is a lovely traditional working village with beautifully renovated stone houses while within a short driving distance there are plenty of restaurants, where you may enjoy the delicious local cuisine. Within about 20 minutes' drive, there are nice beaches such as Kalives, Almyrida and Georgioupolis. At a distance of 10 minutes' drive is the small town of Vrisses, where you will find several shops, restaurants, banks, supermarkets and all sorts of amenities. The city of Chania and the airport are about 40 and 45 minutes' drive, respectively.
