Within 20 to 30 minutes' drive there are many nice beaches such as Triopetra, the sand dunes of Agios Pavlos and the famous beach with the palm forest of Preveli. The city center of Rethymno is about 40 minutes' drive, the airport of Chania 1 and 30 minutes and the airport of Heraklion 1 and 40 minutes.
