A short staircase leads to the basement, where there is a bathroom with a shower, a large bedroom with built-in cupboards with shelves and a second bedroom which is a little smaller and is currently used as a study.

The property has central heating with radiators and an oil-fired boiler. There is a fireplace on the first floor, and a wood-burning stove in the dining-room on the ground floor. There is a solar water heating panel. The doors and windows are of aluminium with double glazing, many of which have a tilt system and ornamental security ironwork. Some of the furniture is included in the sale price, which is very good given the size of the house, its features and the potential for future development.

In Plaka, which is about 1 km away, you will find several restaurants, cafes, two supermarkets etc. About 2 km away is the sandy beach of Almyrida, along which there are numerous taverns and beach bars. In the small town of Kalyves about 10 minutes’ drive away, there are banks, schools, supermarkets and other shops for your everyday needs. The city and the airport of Chania are about 40 and 45 minutes’ drive away, respectively.
