Almyrida is located at the exit of the Gulf of Souda, approximately 20 km from the city center of Chania. The region attracts many tourists and it has many cafés, taverns and hotels along the coast. The beach is arranged over two main coves in which you have several options between sandy and pebbly spots. The most popular feature of Almyrida is Karga, a rocky islet to which you can swim and is located 300 m off the coast. Almyrida is, among others, the perfect destination for families with children, as the water is shallow, there is plenty of quiet to relax and there are all sorts of amenities that will allow you to spend the day here.
