If you have arrived at the lovely Paleochora and you have a car, do not make the mistake of not visiting this spectacular beach. From Paleochora head east and drive parallel to the beach. You will soon come to a dirt track road which is in a good condition and ends at the beach parking lot. It is a short drive with beautiful views of the steep cliffs on one side and the clear waters of the Libyan Sea on the other.
The area provides parking for two beaches, one more beautiful than the other. The westernmost is Gialiskari which we definitely recommend, while the other is Anidri which takes its name from the gorge that exits there. Both beaches have fine pebbles, deep clear waters and are organised with umbrellas and sunbeds. Anidri beach is popular with families and nudists on the western and the eastern side, respectively. From here, an E4 European path passes through towards Sougia and as you look towards the east you will see Cape Crocodile which takes its name from its characteristic shape.
