The area is being developed mainly due to its surrounding beaches. It is on the way to the famous Elafonisi and therefore and has seen growth in tourism, which is mild without disturbing its traditional character and natural environment. The plot is an excellent choice for a holiday home and can be used for tourist purposes, for people who are interested in the famous beaches and wild nature of the westernmost municipality of the island.
