RENOVATED STONE HOUSE WITH VIEWS OVER CHANIA BAY
The property is in a traditional neighborhood of the small seaside town of Kolymbari. It is an old two-level stone building which was repaired in 1995 while a large part of it was renovated only in 2026 so that today it is available a complete and elegant result. The neighborhood is in an elevated area so that the house has beautiful views over the bay of Chania but also to the ridge of the White Mountains in the background. Around the property there are picturesque cobbled alleys while your vehicle can reach the frontage of the building. In addition, the sale includes an independent plot of 71 m², where you can park your vehicle or even build a second house.
The house is arranged over two levels, which are connected by an internal staircase while they can become independent via an external staircase that leads to a balcony on the first floor. The ground floor is 98 m² and "L" shaped. It has frontage to the north, where the main entrance is located and to the west to a fenced stone paved courtyard that is connected to the cobbled alley. Internally, we find a large open-plan space with a fireplace, which can house a living space and dining area. Here is also the staircase to the upper floor. Two additional rooms allow you to have two bedrooms on the ground floor (with 4 in total) or to make one of them an additional living area, playroom, independent guest room or whatever else according to your needs. On the ground floor there is also a WC for visitors.
The upper floor has a total area of 69 m². Going up we find a wide central hallway that has the kitchen and is connected to the bathroom and two bedrooms. Large windows in the hallway let in plenty of light and have impressive views. The floor opens onto a good-sized balcony that is covered with reeds and a pergola while from there a staircase leads to the rooftop terrace one level higher. You can make many improvements to the residence and it is, among other things, a good choice if you want to stay somewhere immediately and carry out work in the future.
Just 500 m away is the center of Kolimbari, where you will find supermarket, pharmacy, schools of all levels and many shops. Kolymbari is famous for its taverns and their delicious food and also features a large pebble beach. Within a short distance, there is also a junction of the northern highway of Crete, from where you can go to Chania, Kissamos and the airport in 25, 15 and 35 minutes’ drive, respectively.
