AMPLE SPACES IN A BUILDING NEAR THE BEACH

The property is in the village Agios Onoufrios, a beautiful area in the municipal unit Akrotiri of the municipality Chania. It is a two-level house, which has been abandoned for some years, is not maintained and now requires work in order to become functional and habitable again. The ground floor was built in 1986 while the upper floor was added with a building permit for expansion in 1993. The building has excellent layout with very large and bright spaces so that in any case it constitutes a proper basis for a luxurious result. The location of the plot is also very good on the edge of the village so that there are beautiful views to the north up to the sea.

The ground floor is elevated with 5-6 steps and before the main entrance we find a good-sized covered veranda with arches. The upper floor also follows the same plan. The main spaces are located near the frontage, where we find two large areas, which are separated from each other by a central corridor. According to the functionality of the era, the living room, the dining room, a separate sitting room and an office space would be housed there. The two spaces are large enough and therefore one could become a bedroom while the other is enough if you want to integrate the kitchen as well. Currently, the kitchen is separated by a breakfast bar and is located in its own room at the back. It has many cupboards and an exit at the back of the building. The central corridor continues at the back to two bedrooms and two bathrooms.

The upper floor is accessible independently by an external staircase. Before the entrance we find a large south-facing balcony while there is also a north-facing balcony, which has beautiful views of the sea. The interior is open-plan and can be divided according to your needs in order to become an extension of the lower floor or it may become a beautiful independent apartment.

The building needs maintenance or replacement of the railings, new windows and doors and work on the coatings. You can make further improvements but can be inhabited with relatively little additional money. It can become a large luxury residence or two independent apartments, one of which can provide a significant monthly income.

The nearby beach has two sheltered coves and is mainly family friendly. Within a radius of 5-15 minutes' drive are several well-known beaches such as Seitan Limania, Tersanas and Stavros, which attract many visitors in the summer. In the center of Kounoupidiana, which is about 2 km from the property, you will find all kinds of shops and services as well as banks, schools of all levels and a big supermarket. The city center of Chania is only 15 minutes' drive away.
