TWO APARTMENTS WITH NEOCLASSICAL FEATURES

The property is in the district of Agios Ioannis, on the southeastern edge of Chania city. The location has good access to the center while the Court House Square ("Dikastiria") is less than 500 m away. At the same time, you can quickly exit the city with the junctions of the northern highway of Crete to Mournies or Souda that are both located about 5 to 10 minutes’ drive. Despite its hub area, the property is located almost at the end of a quiet side road in a family-friendly neighborhood with permanent residents.

The plot of the property is square with frontage to the north while the building is located on the western edge and therefore has a good eastern orientation. The building is divided into two apartments with a ground floor of 73 m², an upper floor of 83 m² as well as an additional basement space of 24 m². Each apartment is completely independent while they share a courtyard, which is covered and can be used as a parking space. It is currently used as a courtyard by the lower apartment. At its back, some steps follow the slope of the natural ground so that a little lower at the back of the building a small garden and a courtyard have been landscaped.

The apartments were renovated in 2020, in order to be fully functional and modern. The building was rebuilt in 1975 on the site of an older building and many of the original tiles were reused, creating an interesting final result. Also, during the renovation upstairs, the old terrazzo floors made of small tesserae remained, which in combination with the large openings on three sides have preserved the grandeur of the urban residences of the 70s. Each apartment has comfortable spaces and includes two bedrooms and a large bathroom. There are air conditioners upstairs while there is a solar panel for each apartment. A large part of the existing furniture will remain and is included in the sale price along with the electrical appliances.

The location is very privileged and allows you to improve your standard of living if you move between the center of Chania and the suburban areas. In any case, it is a good investment and each apartment can be rented separately and may provide you a significant income.
