CAPTIVATING SEA VIEWS & A STRONG CRETAN PERSONALITY

This traditional stone farmhouse is located in the picturesque hamlet of Fournados, just outside the town of Kissamos. Originally built in the local architectural style, the house underwent a complete renovation in 2000. The work was carried out with careful respect for the building's original character, preserving its traditional features while introducing modern levels of comfort. The sale includes the house, which occupies a 112 m² plot, together with a separate 741 m² plot directly opposite.

The additional plot lies within the village boundaries and is fully buildable, allowing for the construction of a second substantial residence or even a residential development with a total building allowance of up to 400 m². This provides flexibility for private use, guest accommodation, investment, or future resale. The plot is planted with a variety of mature fruit trees and currently includes a simple garage structure, which has to be removed before completion of the sale. Occupying a corner position with east and south-facing frontages, it also offers ample space for landscaped gardens, a vegetable garden, private parking, or a swimming pool.

The house features a main entrance on the west side and a secondary entrance at the rear to the east. A spacious covered courtyard forms the main outdoor living area and provides a sheltered setting for dining or relaxing throughout the day. Inside, the ground floor comprises a generous living room, a separate kitchen, a bathroom with a shower, and a guest WC. An internal wooden staircase leads to the first floor, where two spacious bedrooms are located. One of the bedrooms opens onto a large shaded balcony with open views across Kissamos Bay.

Heating is provided primarily by a wood-burning stove on the ground floor, which is sufficient to warm most of this level, while the upper floor is equipped with air conditioning. The property also benefits from a solar water heating system. All existing furniture and electrical appliances are included in the sale.

Although the immediate surroundings are peaceful and lightly developed, a selection of shops for everyday essentials can be found nearby. The town of Kissamos, just a short drive away, provides supermarkets, banks, schools, restaurants, healthcare services, and a long organized sandy beach, along with all the amenities required for year-round living. The property also enjoys convenient access to Falasarna, one of Crete's most renowned beaches, approximately 15 minutes away by car. Chania city centre is around a 40-minute drive, while Chania International Airport can be reached in approximately 55 minutes.
