LARGE HOUSE NEAR CHERSONISSOS, HERAKLION

The property is located in the village Potamies of the municipality Chersonissos, about 30 minutes' drive east of Heraclion city. It is an old stone-built residence, which has been renovated with respect to its strong traditional character.

The exterior area of the house is fenced. On the front of the property there is a small covered area, which offers to the courtyard complete privacy from the road that passes right in front. Here, there are a storage room for the firewood, a traditional wood oven and also a small laundry area. This area was the traditional "hayat" that was mainly used as an entrance hall or resting room. The fenced yard is the center of the building as it connects all the ground floor areas with three different doors, which lead inside. The home follows the slope of the ground and is divided into different levels.

The beautifully-designed kitchen is located in a separate room and has plenty of space for a table with six chairs. The living room is two steps higher. It is large, has space for office and there is an excellent stone fireplace, at its edge. At the back there are a bedroom, a bathroom with a bathtub and a storage room with shelves. A wooden staircase leads from the living room to the upper floor. Here, there are a small and a large bedroom as well as a bathroom with shower. Each room has an exit to a large balcony with nice views of the valley and the dam of the river Aposelemis.

The property is a very well-priced investment for someone who needs many and large spaces. There are a solar panel as well as a fireplace that heats most of the ground floor. The doors, the frames and the floors are traditional, wooden and of very good construction.

The village is very quiet, has many permanent residents, a café and a mini market. The cosmopolitan, small town and the port of Chersonissos are about 10 and 15 minutes' drive, respectively. There, you will find supermarkets, restaurants, banks and several shops.
