The village attracts several tourists during the summer months while at the same time it has an original, traditional character and is very quiet and picturesque. At a distance of about 10 minutes' drive is the small town of Vamos, where there are banks, supermarkets and other shops. The beaches of Georgioupolis and Kalyves that have facilities are 20 minutes' drive away and the city center of Chania about 45 minutes.
